First time I painted there in 2008 it seemed to be all sweet as there were some local writers doing their thing as well, however just when I´ve finished and packed my shit up cops rocked up and started to hassle the local writers there. Second time i´ve painted further down May Lane in 2009 and it seems like there is a cop living just opposite. Anyway he rocked up at the fence of his garden just opposite where I was and told me that I should leave immidiately otherwise I would get into big trouble although I had spoken to the guys who we´re running the business who´s sidewall I was painting and they had given me permission. The cop was off duty but presented his police badge and said that it´s not legal around there at all and he´s just being kind as I´m a foreigner and couldn´t know any better as the walls are completely covered with graff there...

FYI. April 2011 - A person was arrested by Newtown Police. They visit May Lane daily now. You do need specific permission from owners for any property.
Is this wall still safe to paint?
