Painter's Alley

A free and legal graffiti space in downtown Hastings, opened in October 2023. Provided by the building owners in collaboration with Thornapple Arts Council and artist/coordinator J Maizlish Mole, the space is located directly across the alley from a free city parking lot. There's approximately 650 sq. ft. of paintable wall directly beneath the big pink mural. No permission is needed, locals are generally friendly and curious about the project, and basic ground rules (no littering, etc.) are posted.
